The company offers a complete portfolio of services covering search engine optimisation, paid search, social media, web development, visitor conversion, media planning and web analysis. Operations are coordinated so that group best practice and economies of scale can be realised.

Getupdated’s market strategy is to focus operations on market segments where customer demand is growing fastest, and where the group’s offering delivers clear value-added. The growth strategy is to develop innovative and scalable tools and services, and expanding sales into Europe through an increasing number of satellite offices, thus building a pan-European presence.
 

Future Prospects

2010 was a good year when the group’s financial stability was reinforced, simultaneous with major advances in its operational efficiency. Against this background, growth in the core business of Internet marketing and higher profitability, as well as positive operating cash flow for the group, are expected for 2011.

  • Lower revenue in UK due to adverse weather conditions, however Q1 new sales are strong.
  • UK renewal rate increases by 20% in the first quarter.
  • Net sales in France up by 31.8 %, last years SEO renewable services will start to come through in Q2.

Track record of strategic acquisitions

No purchases of operations or companies were conducted in 2010. After the end of the financial year, Getupdated completed the investment of 25% of the shares of video content company Wooshii. This is a big step for our group and a sign that we will not stand still in a forever developing internet marketing industry. Video content is becoming paramount within the industry and this product is a perfect accompaniment to our existing core range of products.
 
In August 2010, Getupdated sold all its holdings in MediaAnalys (51%). The motive for this sale was Getupdated’s intention to concentrate the group’s investment on growth in wholly owned operations.
